The first show of the season started of with unusually warm weather, then turned drastically cold, windy and rainy.  The horses were all saints for putting up with the elements.  Foley did well with a 71.9% at 1-3, and a 7.028 in the FEI 5 Year Old Test.  Anakin showed his maturity scoring a 67% in all 3 2-3 tests entered, and a 68% in 3-3!  Nicole and Andorella had a good first Jr team test!

Dressage at Devon was a success!  Nicole and Oxford placed 3rd in the Jr Individual with a 63.684%, Foley placed 3rd in the USEF 4 Year Old test with a 7.46, and Pip and Amanda won the Watermark Farm Perpetual Trophy for the highest placed former NAJYRC rider in the Grand Prix.  Barb Putnam and Barrie Anderson were able to join us, and thank you again to Gretchen Baxter for helping me and the horses get there!

Region 2 Championships were a success! Foley Reserve Champion Training Level, Pip Champion GP Freestyle, 3rd Place I-II and GP, Gylano 3rd Place First Level, 6th Place Second Level, Reserve High-Point First Level of the open show, Nicole and Oxford Champion Jr Team Test, Reserve Champion Third Level Jr/YR, Dee and Dimitri 8th Place First Level AA!!!!!!

Volarie made her dressage show debut with a 68.929% at T-2.  Sophia and Gylano earned a 68.571% at T-2.  Amanda and Gylano scored a 75.833% at 1-2, and Amanda and Anakin scored a 71.579% at 2-1.

It was a beautiful weekend.  Nicole and Oxford scored a 67.674% at 4-1, Katie and Nirvan recieved a 64.419% at 4-1, Hannah and Pearl a 58% at 3-1, Kate and Alezander a 60% at 2-3, Dee and Dimitri a 66.842% at 1-4, and Deanna and True Colors a 66.522% at T-1.

The USEF talent search program was fun to attend.  It was nice to meet new people, and be able to be stabled in the famous stables in Gladstone.  I ended up staying at taking some lessons from Micheal Barison.  I really enjoyed them, and think about the lessons frequently.  Increase your standards, expect more.  Foley and Pip benefited from the trip.  Hannah was able to join me and Gretchen was generous to offer to drive us there.  Thank you!

Amanda Johnson Dressage LLC is headed out to Gladstone for the USEF Talent Search with Debbie McDonald on July 9th.  Amanda will be riding Pip and Foley in this new program!
